Thank you for choosing Bellingham Ambulatory Surgery Center for your surgery. We strive to make your experience a pleasant and efficient one.
A discussion of financial matters can be an uncomfortable experience and no one likes surprises. “We work hard to inform our patients of their financial obligations as early as possible. We verify patient eligibility, benefits and any necessary authorization or pre-certification. Prior to surgery, we notify patients of our best estimate of what they will owe.
The Bellingham Ambulatory Surgery Center collects any co-payment, unmet deductibles, and co-insurance amounts on the day of surgery. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or contact our business office at (360) 671-6933. Please note that co-insurance amounts collected are an ESTIMATE; your total financial obligation will be determined by your insurance company and will appear on the explanation of benefits (EOB). If our estimated amount is less, we will bill you the difference. If our estimated amount is more, we will refund you the difference.
We encourage you to also contact your surgeon, anesthesia group (Bellingham Anesthesia Associates) and your insurance company if you have any questions about your financial obligations. In addition, please make sure to verify that your insurance company has authorized/pre-certified your surgery.
